The Adventure of Charity association was founded in 1/1/2000.

From the beginning, we concentrated our efforts to help the patients with chronic diseases who were not covered by the social security, and having great difficulties in buying their drugs because of the high prices. They are now 280 patients, and they suffer from heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, osteoporosis, neurological diseases, asthma, Parkinson, Alzheimer, and other…

Today, we have contacts with local medical companies such as PHARMALINE, MEDIPHAR and BPI, and the scientific office of MERCK, ASTRAZENECA, SANOFI-AVENTIS, PFIZER and APOTEX. We have also a very good relationship with PARTENARIAT DE FRANCE association in METZ – FRANCE, and LEBANESE PHYSICIANS’association in MONTREAL- CANADA. All this , in order to provide the biggest quantity of free drugs, and to distribute them to the patients, free of charge.

The writer Russell Remin said: “Compassion does not heal a wound, but relieves the solitude in pain”: Yes, we wanted a war on solitude, since a lonely patient suffer a harsh pain reduced only by the feeling that someone is standing next to him.
As it was said that the way to inner peace requires you to finish what you started, we have come to affirm that we are determined to complete our journey and our adventure with the support of faithful people and honest prayers.

Making a difference is what the “Adventure of Charity” does best, and every day we try to do this in the lives of the families we serve.
Since this is our main concern, we were not satisfied with providing medicines only, but we are helping financially some families, who have lost the breadwinner, to be able to meet their daily needs.

Due to COVID 19 and the already established economic crisis that Lebanon is undergoing, the patients we are helping with their medicines along with their families are at risk of going hungry. In addition, they cannot afford the basic needs for their personal hygiene and disinfection products to get protected from this pandemic. So, continuously with the help of Schneider Electric, we are preparing a box that combines the essential food products from one side and hygiene products on the other side and provide these boxes to their homes in order to respect the “stay at home” measures for their safety.

Christmas is a season of joy and peace, sharing and giving to the less privileged amongst us. To celebrate this season, each year:

• We prepare for each of our families a box full of food, chocolate, cake and even wine to celebrate with their families without feeling deprived or different from others.
• We go to a public school and ask all the children to write a letter for Santa Claus and ask for the gifts they are longing for. We choose each gift with love and write on it: “From Jesus to (the name of the child)”. On the last day of school before Christmas, we will be there with Santa Claus to distribute the gifts with a bag full of candy for each child. In addition, a magician will be there to entertain the children and put a smile on their faces.
